C10- Mint Brand New: all original, unused and unblemished, factory sealed items
C9- Factory Brand New: all original, unused, may have evidence factory rubs and the slightest evidence of handling, shipping or have been test run at the factory.
C8- Like New: complete all original, no rust or missing parts, may show effects of being on display and/or age, may have been run Lightly
C7- Excellent: all original, minute scratches and/or paint nicks, no rust or missing parts, no distortion of component parts.
C6- Very Good: Minor scratches and/or paint nicks, minor spots of surface rust(oxi), May have evidence of heavy use.
C5- Good sign of play wear: with scratches and minor paint loss, small dents, minor surface rust, evidence of heavy use;
C4- Fair: Scratched: moderate paint loss, dented, missing parts, surface rust, evidence of heavy use.
C3- Poor- requires major body repair, heavily scratched, major rust(scale), missing multiple parts, restoration candidate
C2-1 Really Bad!
Factory touch-up: obvious minor over paint done at factory
Pro Touch-up: less than 10% restorative work, done in a seamless or nearly seamless level
Restored - Original trains that have been professionally or semi professionally refinished to approximate the original finish, color and graphics(lettering and Logos), may have reproduction small parts

C10- Bricky, perfect box with bright color, square & crisp with all flaps intact with very small signs of handling. May have factory or Dealer Price Label.
C9- Like New, Nice clean box, square & fairly crisp with all flaps intact. May have a small bit of edge and/or corner wear, maybe a little dark in tone. May have factory or Dealer Price Label or writing.
C8- Excellent Plus, Square & fairly clean with all flaps present. May have a minor flap tear(1/2. or less) small bit of edge and/or corner wear, very light staining, maybe a little dark in tone. May have partial inner coupler flaps. May have factory or Dealer Price Label or writing
C7- Very Good Plus, Fairly Square with all outer 6 flaps present. May have light graffiti. May have a minor flap tears(1. or less) small bit of edge and/or corner wear, light staining, maybe a little dark in tone. May be missing inner coupler flaps. May have factory or Dealer Price Label or writing.
C6- Good, Somewhat Square with all outer 6 flaps present w/minor inner repair. May have light graffiti.

C5- FAIR, Usable boxes in lesser condition than C6
